Retreats
For the National League of Cities, I led several sessions with creative frameworks to improve inter-departmental teamwork and replace unproductive brainstorming sessions once and for all.
Emceeing
For the National Apartment Association's final Maximize Conference, I emceed several general sessions with a flying microphone box. I also hosted my own comedy variety show for two years in DC.
Moderating
For numerous panel discussions, I've served as moderator and discussion leader, asking illuminating questions and making sure the audience has a voice as well.
Hosting
For the American Geophysical Union's 100th anniversary, I served as podcast host, interviewing notable scientists for their storytelling project with StoryCorps.
“Greg collaborated with me to develop a two-day retreat for the marketing, communications, and technology staff. He led a session on approaches to creative problem solving that became the focus of the meeting. He then facilitated a few hands-on projects to promote design-oriented thinking and better team collaboration. Greg’s energy and knowledge were instrumental in pulling off a retreat that everyone saw as a great success.”

“We brought Greg in as a messaging consultant and outside voice to help us refresh and focus our message. He looked at everything we did and proposed new ways to position our mission and our value. His insight and strategy improved the way ERIC — a membership advocacy organization for large employers – communicates. To put it another way, he helped us better understand what we do and why it is so valuable to members and prospective members. As a collaborator and speaking coach, he helped us develop everything from key messages to engaging presentations to full high-level speeches. He has a knack for taking what we’ve been saying the same way for too long and giving it a fresher, livelier, more-meaningful touch. His work was invaluable.”

“I absolutely loved your presentation. You were one of the best speakers we’ve ever had. We do a meeting wrap-up with the full board at the end, and every board member said their favorite was you and the chance to work together in small, creative teams. It was a valuable experience for everyone! The “Idea-Driven Organization” process is going to be great to use again and again for making decisions with this board.”

"After having Greg speak at our annual convention, we hired him back to emcee Maximize, a two-day conference focused on asset management. We wanted to try some new things, including a microphone box you could throw around the room. Greg was a great fit as emcee; kept things energetic, fun, and informative, engaging the entire audience. The event was a hit and he did an awesome job."

"We hired Greg at the onset of the pandemic to learn how to think creatively, work together more effectively, and get comfortable taking risks. During this staff retreat, we reframed how our organization operates, built trust among and across internal teams, and generated critical forward thinking ideas to remain relevant and essential to our members. A year later, we have systematically institutionalized cross-collaboration among teams and innovation throughout our organization. When the world was on high-alter, Greg helped us focus to produce the vital resources our members needed to operate their business. I don’t want to know where we’d be without him. "

“I participated in Greg’s three-hour workshop, The Weekly Innovator, at ASAE’s Great Ideas 2019 Conference. He led us through 5 steps to come up with and test new ideas. I really enjoyed the session and took alot away from the experience, It was both fun and informative. In particular, I really liked the framework for working in small, cross-functional teams. It can be a challenge to manage different viewpoints in the innovation process, but this workshop actually encouraged it and showed how to navigate those differences. It’s a great way to develop ideas that have the potential to be truly innovative.”
